Since the acquisition of TDR in 2015, BAT has invested more than EUR 700 million in Croatia. A major investment cycle has been launched in new production lines at the Kanfanar factory. In recent years, BAT also invested almost EUR 19 million in strengthening sustainability throughout BAT's entire value chain in Croatia.

BAT has a unique value chain in Croatia: tobacco production in Virovitica, production in Kanfanar, a logistics center in Rijeka, a logistics hub in Pitomača, the iNovine kiosk chain and a commercial office in Zagreb from which it manages eight markets in the Adria cluster. BAT directly employs 1,500 people in Croatia and indirectly supports as many as 6,000 jobs.
