Worth Wild Africa (WWA) is a ‘not for profit’ fund founded in 2021.
WWA provides field equipment such as trail, night vision and other cameras, radio telemetry and IT kit etc to study, monitor and conserve African wildlife and help build positive relations with local people. It supports existing bona fide projects across Africa with additional equipment that their main support funds don’t cover. We never hand over cash.
100% of donations to WWA is spent on such equipment, not expensive offices, staff salaries or management costs. Office facilities and running costs are covered free of charge by our founding supporters.
WWA recently passed a total of US$100,000 worth of equipment distributed to nearly 40 projects; from rhino and cheetah conservation in South Africa, giraffes in Cameroon, elephant conflicts with local farmers in Mozambique, pangolin, African wild dog and vulture stiudies in Namibia, the reintroduction of addax in Chad, gorilla and shoebill conservation in Uganda and lemurs in Mozambique, to the study of an eco-health marker species of furry mountain mouse in Nigeria.
