BBCC Premium Corporate Member Ledo plus sponsored and hosted the BBCC Business Mixer on 2 June. More than 70 BBCC Members and guests (including representatives of the British Embassy Zagreb, His Excellency Javed Patel and Diana Nimac, Trade Director) visited Ledo's new headquarters, complete with kitchen facilities and freezers showcasing Ledo's frozen products. Since 2021, Ledo plus has been part of UK company Nomad Foods, the largest producer of frozen foods in Europe. The event was hosted by Ivan Babić, General Manager of Adriatics Region for Nomad Foods, and Petar Bermanec, Country Manager for Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary and President of the Board of Ledo plus. Other Ledo plus representatives included Tomislav Mesić, Director of Finance and Board Member (CFO) for Ledo plus Croatia, Martina Šantorić, Planning Director and Supply Chain, Board Member for Ledo plus Croatia, and Iva Skorin, Corporate Affairs Manager for Ledo Adriatic cluster. During the event, guests were shown the benefits, efficiency and sustainability of frozen food by Dr.sc. Dunja Molnar, Nutrition and Sensory Manager at Adriatics, Nomad Foods.
After the presentations, guests were treated to a meal of delicious Ledo plus frozen foods, prepared in the company's kitchen--only 10-15 minutes from freezer to table, and we were offered a variety of healthy food options, including vegetables, meat and fish. For dessert, guests engaged in a sensory taste test while sampling new flavours of Ledo "King" ice cream. Feedback was positive, with many attendees saying they would switch to using more Ledo frozen products, after seeing how easy it is to prepare and how tasty the meal was. Guests received gift bags of a variety of Ledo plus ice cream and frozen foods.
